The Jardine Spears Autism Foundation provides parents information on evidence-based practices and interventions to decrease autism symptoms while increasing language, positive social and adaptive behavior by helping families access services.
Before Camp Twin Lakes opened its cabins in 1993, groups in Georgia supporting families living with special health care needs lacked the adequate facilities necessary to provide camp programs for children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and other life challenges.
My career went from classroom to clinic, always trying to find a new solution.
Then, I moved to running an evaluation center, to directing a school for children with special needs.
Now in retirement, my motor is still running as I reach out to those of you who may want to benefit from this long life of finding survival strategies.
